Super Flower, a renowned Taiwanese PSU manufacturer, has just unveiled its flagship power supply, the Leadex 2800W, at Computex. This beast of a power supply boasts a massive 2800W capacity, making it the first PC PSU to approach 3000W, a truly groundbreaking feat in the industry.
While most high-end PSUs max out at 1600W, this 2800W unit raises the bar by an additional 800W, offering a level of power never before seen.
The Leadex 2800W stands out with its impressive features, including four 16-pin connectors designed to power high-end GPUs like the GeForce RTX 5090. It’s a rare PSU that can handle up to four RTX 5090s simultaneously, making it a powerhouse for multi-GPU setups, especially in AI-heavy workstations. Although Quad SLI days are over, this PSU is ready to tackle the modern GPU workloads that demand extreme power. It also supports the latest ATX 3.1 and PCI-E 5.1 standards, ensuring compatibility with cutting-edge hardware.
One of the standout elements of this PSU is its full modular design, complemented by Cybenetics Titanium Certification and a Resonant Circuit design. The unit is equipped with high-quality Japanese capacitors and a 140mm fan that spins at speeds up to 3000 RPM to maintain optimal cooling. The Leadex 2800W also comes with multiple safety features such as OCP, OVP, SCP, OPP, UVP, OTP, NLO, and SIP, ensuring the protection of your expensive PC components.
Super Flower has priced the Leadex 2800W at 5,699 Yuan (approximately $793). While this is on the higher end for a PSU, it’s worth noting that many 1600W PSUs already cost around $500, making the Leadex 2800W’s price point quite reasonable for its capacity.

If PSU makers are going this big, they should use 24-48V rails. The current 12V standard is trash. These GPUs need better connectors and thicker cables. 😤
