Apple Music is stepping up its game with iOS 26, bringing several exciting updates. Among the most notable changes is the improved Apple Music Replay experience. If you’re a fan of Spotify’s Wrapped, you’ll find Apple Music Replay familiar-offering you personalized listening stats for both monthly and yearly data.
However, Apple Music Replay is available year-round, unlike Spotify’s annual Wrapped summary.
The big update with iOS 26 is that Apple Music Replay is now fully integrated within the app itself. Instead of being a separate pop-up or web view, your listening statistics are conveniently housed directly in the Apple Music app. This may seem like a small tweak, but it’s a welcome improvement that has been long overdue. Now, when you open Apple Music, you’ll find a dedicated playlist at the bottom of the Home tab showcasing your 100 most-played songs. This playlist is updated weekly and reflects your preferences as they evolve throughout the year, finalizing at the end of the year.
In addition to this update, Apple Music is adding several exciting features in iOS 26. AI-powered AutoMix, which was revealed at the WWDC 2025 keynote, promises to create a DJ-like experience by seamlessly transitioning between songs. The app will also receive lyric translation and a Lyrics Pronunciation tool-perfect for those karaoke nights. Another cool feature is Music Pins, which will allow you to pin albums, artists, and playlists at the top of your library for easy access, similar to YouTube Music. This feature will also be available with iOS 26 this fall.
Currently, iOS 26 is in beta, with a developer release already available, and the public release is expected in July. The stable version will arrive alongside the iPhone 17 series later this year.
