Poco F7 is poised to shake up the Indian smartphone market, not with flashy gimmicks but sheer battery brawn.

Flipkart has quietly spilled the beans ahead of the official launch, confirming that the Poco F7 will house a colossal 7,550mAh silicon-carbon battery-the biggest battery in an Indian smartphone to date.

Flipkart’s promo page claims this powerhouse can last up to 2.18 days of moderate use on a single charge. That’s not just endurance-it’s liberation from daily charging rituals. And thanks to 90W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, you can top it up quickly or even use it as a portable power bank for other devices.

Under the hood, the Poco F7 packs the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, spotted earlier on Geekbench with 12GB RAM. Storage and RAM variants are expected to go even higher, possibly up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage, if rumors about it being a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro prove accurate.

The F7 could also flaunt a 6.83-inch 120Hz AMOLED display (1,280p resolution), an IP68 rating, and a versatile triple camera setup-50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and a 20MP selfie shooter.

While Indian users will get the full-fat battery, history suggests global markets might see downgraded batteries due to certification hurdles and regional regulations-especially in Europe. This has become a frustrating trend among manufacturers like Xiaomi, where non-Indian variants often sacrifice specs for compliance.

Still, the Poco F7 stands as a rare beacon of uncut specs in India. If it lands with all the rumored features intact, this might just be the most practical phone launch of the year-no AI buzzwords, just good old battery and performance muscle.
