The watch’s signature feature is a dramatic, automotive-inspired sapphire display window, wrapping around the top of the case like a Targa top from a classic Porsche or Corvette. 
This “greenhouse” effect offers a stunning view of the watch’s jump-hour complication from nearly any angle.
The 39.6mm stainless steel case keeps the same silhouette as its predecessor, but the new sapphire window transforms the watch’s overall impact. The orange digital hour wheel at 9 o’clock and the minutes wheel at 3 o’clock create a sharp contrast, making the time display easy to read even at difficult angles
. Meanwhile, the polished cutout at the 6 o’clock side remains as a window to the prismatic jump hour dial, which offers a futuristic yet accessible feel.

. The watch’s 50-meter water resistance isn’t particularly high, but it suits its character-driven design. The caseback includes another sapphire window with an asymmetric cutout that exposes the inner workings, giving the watch a true sense of craftsmanship.
At the heart of the Digitrend Open Sapphire beats the Soprod Newton P092 automatic movement, which powers the digital jump-hour complication. The movement is solid, providing a 44-hour power reserve and a 28,800 bph beat rate. Visible through the sapphire display, the movement is finished with Côtes de Genève patterns that add elegance to its already unique aesthetic.
The Amida Digitrend Open Sapphire is completed with a sleek, textured black Alcantara strap.
