Redmi has officially revealed the K80 Ultra, its latest premium smartphone, with new images and key specs ahead of the June 18 launch.
It will be introduced alongside the Redmi K Pad, marking a dual flagship reveal from the brand.
Under the hood, the K80 Ultra runs on the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, which has already posted an impressive AnTuTu score of 3.24 million. This performance is made possible by advanced heat dissipation engineering, which ensures consistent performance even under heavy load.
The phone packs a large 7,410 mAh battery, promising extended usage time. Redmi has also included an upgraded vibration motor with 53% faster actuation, 62% better consistency, and nearly 100 distinct vibration patterns – a major leap in haptics for mobile devices.
Audio is another highlight. With symmetrical speakers reaching up to 20kHz and a significant 16dB boost in the 8kHz to 20kHz range, Redmi is boldly claiming this to be their best-sounding phone ever. The company has emphasized a new level of acoustic precision, aiming to deliver both clarity and punch in audio output.
Design-wise, the K80 Ultra is being touted as the most elegant flagship in its class. It features a premium metal frame, a fiberglass back, and a sleek metal camera island. The display is a generous 6.83 inches, pushing it into true phablet territory.
However, despite all this, fans have raised eyebrows at one decision – the camera setup. The K80 Ultra appears to only include a dual camera system, a surprising move considering the K80 Pro’s triple camera configuration. Redmi hasn’t explained this choice yet, but it’s likely a trade-off made to focus on other performance and build aspects.
