NEOWIZ, the South Korean developer, has revealed that its Soulslike title, Lies of P, has now surpassed 3 million copies sold worldwide. This marks a significant achievement for the game, especially given that the last official sales update came in October 2023, when it was reported that the game had sold over one million units in just under a month. 
With its inclusion in Microsoft’s Game Pass from the very beginning, it’s safe to assume that many more players have experienced the game beyond those who bought it outright.
On top of its impressive sales, there’s a growing rumor that a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Lies of P might be in the works, which could further boost its sales. The game’s first DLC, Overture, also recently launched and earned an 8/10 score in Wccftech’s review, matching the base game’s score. The article notes that this expansion stays true to the original experience: ‘Lies of P: Overture’ is more of what players loved about the base game, with some challenging moments that will likely be adjusted over time. For fans of the game, this DLC offers more of the same in a satisfying way, though those who struggled with its difficulty might not find much here to change their opinion.
Looking to the future, a Lies of P sequel seems almost certain given the strong sales, but NEOWIZ isn’t resting on its laurels. The company is expanding its horizons, having recently started recruiting for a new sci-fi horror project and secured publishing deals with several promising indie developers, including ZAKAZANE, WolfEye Studios, and Shadowlight.
