GPU prices in Europe are finally cooling off, and for the first time ever, NVIDIA’s flagship GeForce RTX 5090 dipped below its MSRP in Germany. Specifically, the MSI RTX 5090 Ventus 3X OC briefly appeared on Mindfactory for just €1,999, undercutting its official EU launch price of €2,229.

Although that deal didn’t last long-the same card now retails closer to €2,698-it marks a turning point in pricing trends for the high-end GPU market.

Price tracking site Geizhals confirms a consistent drop in RTX 5090 pricing across several editions, now averaging between €2,200 and €2,500. Alza.de even lists one variant for €10 less than MSRP. This follows months of scarce availability and inflated pricing, signaling a shift toward more stable and buyer-friendly conditions.

The downward trend isn’t exclusive to the RTX 5090. Other RTX 50 series cards, including the RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070, are also receiving meaningful price cuts

. While many of these GPUs are still priced above MSRP, the gap has narrowed significantly-from as much as 50% over MSRP to a more reasonable margin today.

On the AMD side, the Radeon RX 9070 series is showing similar pricing corrections. The RX 9070 XT has dipped to around €700, just €11 above its MSRP of €689. Even more impressive, the Acer Nitro Radeon RX 9070 OC has fallen to €600, undercutting its €629 MSRP.

If you’re shopping for a new GPU, patience might pay off. Prices are dropping more rapidly now than at any point in the last six months. Waiting another couple of weeks could save you hundreds.
