Apple’s Liquid Glass UI in iOS 26 has sparked some serious debate, with many users criticizing its design. Despite the company’s claims that this update brings a more responsive and dynamic feel to the operating system, it has been a divisive feature. One of the most notable issues arose with the Control Center interface in iOS 26 Beta 1. 
When users pulled down the Control Center from the top, the app icons and widgets in the background remained visible, making the entire UI cluttered and difficult to navigate. It became a major distraction, and users voiced their frustration with this lack of clarity.
Apple took note of these concerns and responded in iOS 26 Beta 2 by introducing a much-needed change to the Liquid Glass effect. Now, the Control Center UI is more opaque, reducing the visibility of the background elements. This makes it much easier to read the app icons and options without the previous distractions. The improved opacity enhances the overall readability and makes the interface feel cleaner and less overwhelming, improving the user experience.
In addition to the more opaque Control Center, iOS 26 Beta 2 also introduces a new ringtone option, replacing the ‘Reflections’ song. Another interesting detail is the discovery of a reference to an unreleased iPhone resolution of 2,736 x 1,260 pixels, hinting at a potential new device-possibly the upcoming iPhone 17 Air.
