Sony revealed these titles in a post on the PlayStation Blog, signaling their continued commitment to the PSVR 2, despite the headset’s underwhelming start in the market.

The four new titles are: Dreams of Another, Grit and Valor – 1949, Hotel Infinity, and Meteora. Each one promises a unique experience for PSVR 2 owners.

Leading the pack is Dreams of Another, the latest addition to Q-Games’ acclaimed PixelJunk series. This dreamy VR title allows players to explore surreal worlds in both first- and third-person perspectives. It’s not a new game, but the gameplay reveal offers a fresh look at how VR can bring dreamlike environments to life. This title will be available on PC, PS5, and PSVR 2 later this year.

If you’re craving more intense action, Grit and Valor – 1949 might be just what you need. This real-time tactics rogue-lite puts players in control of alternate history battlefields during World War II. With a release set for August 21, 2025, players will use their fingers to navigate menus and manipulate units in this immersive, strategy-driven VR experience.

For puzzle lovers, Hotel Infinity brings Studio Chyr’s renowned puzzle expertise to PSVR 2. The trailer promises a mind-bending experience where players will navigate through a creepy hotel and tackle a variety of complex puzzles. It’s a perfect VR game for those who enjoy both challenge and atmosphere. The game will be available later this year.

Finally, Meteora offers a thrilling space racing experience, where players step into the role of a flaming meteor in a combat racing environment. The game is colorful and explosive, promising exciting moments as players race to the top of the leaderboards. Meteora is slated for release in 2026.

The PSVR 2 was released in February 2023, with upgraded tech and new features designed to enhance the virtual reality experience. However, reports indicated a slow start, with sales falling short of expectations. Despite this, Sony revealed that the PSVR 2 actually outperformed the original PSVR in its early weeks, surpassing 600,000 units sold within six weeks of launch.

However, a year later, reports emerged indicating that Sony would pause PSVR 2 production to address a backlog of unsold units. In addition, there have been concerns that the PSVR 2 has not received the support fans had hoped for, especially following the announcement that Beat Saber would cease supporting VR on PS4 and PS5.

Despite these concerns, the recent announcements show that Sony is not ready to give up on PSVR 2 just yet. These new titles are a promising sign that Sony plans to continue developing the platform with fresh, engaging content. Still no YouTube support on PSVR 2? My PSVR hasn’t been used as much because of that. I really miss the music videos, ‘experiences,’ and other non-gaming apps from the PSVR1
