AMD isn’t slowing down its Zen 4 CPUs yet, and the Ryzen 7000 series is about to get another addition. Earlier this year, the company quietly introduced the Ryzen 5 7400F CPU for the AM5 platform, which is designed without integrated graphics.
However, a recent leak reveals that AMD is working on a new Ryzen 5 7400 model, which will have integrated graphics.
The discovery came through a shipping manifest spotted by leaker @Olrak29_, which lists a new CPU SKU for the Ryzen 5 7400. This processor will be a sibling to the Ryzen 5 7400F, with the key difference being the addition of an iGPU, making it ideal for users who don’t need a dedicated graphics card but want more versatility in their systems.
The Ryzen 5 7400 will feature a 6-core, 12-thread configuration, with a base clock of 3.7 GHz and a boost clock of 4.7 GHz. It will also have a 32 MB L3 cache and a thermal design power (TDP) of 65W, which is identical to the Ryzen 5 7400F
. Both models will be based on the Zen 4 architecture and are compatible with the AM5 socket.
In terms of pricing, the Ryzen 5 7400 is expected to be slightly more expensive than the Ryzen 5 7400F, mainly due to the inclusion of integrated graphics. While the 7400F launched at around $115 in China, the 7400 is likely to come with a price tag of $125-$135 in North America and Europe. This makes it one of the most affordable Ryzen 7000 options for those wanting to take advantage of the latest AM5 platform. The exact release date remains unknown for now, but this new CPU will certainly offer a budget-friendly choice for users who don’t need high-end gaming performance.
