Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 Hands-On: A Closer Look at the Features

Xiaomi has just unveiled the Mix Flip 2, and it’s already available for purchase in China. Digital Chat Station (DCS) has shared the first hands-on photos and detailed thoughts on the latest flip foldable from the brand.

One of the standout upgrades is the larger 5,165mAh battery, up from 4,780mAh in the previous model, promising extended battery life. Xiaomi’s new flip phone also supports 50W wireless charging, which is a huge improvement, especially with the added accessories available. There’s plenty of power under the hood too, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite offering top-tier performance while maintaining efficiency for everyday use.

The Mix Flip 2 keeps the same display sizes as its predecessor: a 4” cover display and a 6.86” inner display. The crease on the inner screen is reportedly the smallest we’ve seen yet, making it the best in the industry in terms of design. As for outdoor use, the cover display reaches a brightness of 810 nits in sunlight mode, ensuring good visibility even on sunny days.

When it comes to wireless charging, Xiaomi has introduced magnetic cases that work with MagSafe-compatible chargers and stands. Another exciting addition is the portable photo printer, priced at CNY 700 ($100), which features a shutter key for instant printing of your digital photos. The photo printer allows you to turn digital images into physical photos to share with others, adding a nostalgic touch to modern tech.

Additionally, Xiaomi launched a new photography kit for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, though it lacks a photo printer and even a detachable battery grip. On the bright side, it’s incredibly lightweight at just 42g and still comes with a two-stage shutter key and a dedicated video button, enhancing the overall photography experience.
