The upcoming Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds, set for release on June 30, introduces several exciting features for PC players.
Most notably, the update brings support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, and Multi Frame Generation, enhancing the game’s performance and visual quality. With these additions, players can expect smoother gameplay and improved graphics on supported hardware.
Multi Frame Generation is a major highlight, featuring an Auto option that automatically activates or deactivates frame generation based on system load. This dynamic approach allows for better performance optimization without manual adjustments. Additionally, the update will separate upscaling and frame generation settings, so players can mix and match options such as NVIDIA DLSS for upscaling alongside AMD FSR for frame generation, offering more customization.
Other PC-specific updates include a warning dialog for outdated GPU drivers, customizable keyboard controls, and the ability to copy the Lobby ID and Hunter ID from the Start Menu, as well as the Squad ID from the Squad Menu. However, the patch notes did not mention any major performance or optimization improvements beyond reducing VRAM usage. Players may still need to rely on Frame Generation for optimal performance, especially on lower-end systems.
In addition to these technical features, Title Update 2 brings exciting in-game content. Returning monsters Lagiacrus and Seregios will challenge hunters once again, while a new Layered Weapons system offers fresh ways to customize gear. Looking ahead, the next major content update, due in August, will feature Arch-tempered Uth Duna and a Fender Special Collaboration event. The September update promises even more surprises for dedicated hunters.
Monster Hunter Wilds is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Stay tuned for more details as new updates roll out!
