Crimson Desert, the highly anticipated game from Pearl Abyss, is making a return to Gamescom 2025 with a new playable demo for attendees to try out ahead of its official release. Last year, at Gamescom 2024, players were already able to experience the game, but there were speculations that it might launch in early 2025. 
However, those hopes were dashed when Pearl Abyss announced a new release window for fall 2025 during The Game Awards.
For those who were eagerly awaiting a release date, things seemed promising when a Korean website recently suggested that Crimson Desert would be available on November 2, 2025. But Pearl Abyss quickly responded with a statement that, while not confirming or denying the rumored date, stated that any official announcement would come through their own channels. So, while the November date remains unverified, it’s possible we’ll get more information during Gamescom 2025.
If you’re planning to attend the event, you’ll get the chance to play the demo on a powerful AMD-powered PC, with stunning visuals displayed on Samsung G6 and G8 monitors. As a bonus, Pearl Abyss will be giving away Crimson Desert merchandise to those who stop by. According to Lybee Park, CEO of Pearl Abyss Europe, the company is eager to showcase the game and let fans immerse themselves in its world. “We’re thrilled to debut Crimson Desert’s latest public demo for the very first time here at Gamescom 2025. We can’t wait for fans to get hands-on with the experience we’ve crafted. From the immersive booth to the gameplay itself, we hope every visitor walks away feeling part of Crimson Desert – and excited for what’s to come at launch,” she said.
