Honor recently revealed the Magic V5, and it didn’t waste time showing off just how tough this foldable phone really is. The company shared an eye-catching promo video, and it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before. The video kicks off with a simulation of the Magic V5 enduring an intense rainfall, showing off its IP59 rating that ensures it can withstand high-pressure water jets. 
But that’s just the beginning.
Next, they take the phone to extreme temperatures. First, it’s frozen solid, then heated to a scorching high temperature. And just when you think it couldn’t get more intense, the phone faces an even wilder test. Steel balls are fired at the phone to prove its durability, and the Magic V5 takes the hits like a champ, remaining completely intact.
Despite being a foldable phone, the Honor Magic V5 is presented as an ultra-durable device, combining style and toughness. The phone boasts a 7.95-inch LTPO AMOLED foldable display with a resolution of 2172×2352, alongside a 6.43-inch cover screen with a resolution of 1060×2376. Under the hood, you’ll find the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, with options for 12/16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of internal storage. The 5,820 mAh battery supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging, making it a powerhouse in more ways than one. For photography, the Magic V5 features a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 64 MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 50 MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, and dual 20 MP selfie cameras.
