Honor has officially launched the Honor X9c in India, blending midrange specs with standout durability features. Priced at ₹21,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, the phone will go on sale via Amazon India starting July 12.

Originally unveiled globally in November, the X9c features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, paired with MagicOS 9 based on Android 15. While the processor doesn’t scream flagship, it delivers dependable performance for everyday tasks and moderate gaming.

One of the key highlights of the Honor X9c is its focus on durability. It boasts an IP65M rating, with the “M” indicating protection from water jets in all directions – a small but significant detail for buyers worried about accidental splashes.

Honor further claims the phone is drop-resistant from heights up to 2 meters, backed by SGS certification.

Camera-wise, the X9c packs a 108MP main shooter using Samsung’s HM6 sensor, alongside a modest 5MP ultrawide lens. While not a triple-threat camera setup, it should satisfy casual photography needs. The phone houses a massive 6,000mAh battery, supported by 66W wired charging – more than enough for a full day’s use and quick top-ups.

Available in Titanium Black and Jade Cyan, the design language hints at premium aesthetics, though some critics have called out the lack of visible titanium despite the “slim titanium design” marketing phrase.

With the rise of aggressive competition from brands like Realme offering Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 devices under ₹20,000, and with wider service center networks across India, Honor faces a challenge. The X9c may impress with durability and battery life, but service accessibility and pricing may hold it back from broader appeal.
