Vacheron Constantin’s latest release for 2025, the Métiers d’Art Tribute to The Celestial watches, pushes the boundaries of luxury with its bold design and intricate craftsmanship. This limited edition collection features 12 ultra-thin tourbillon watches, each inspired by the zodiac signs and their corresponding constellations.

Drawing inspiration from a one-off watch crafted by the brand’s Les Cabinotiers workshop in 2021, these models combine artistic expression with horological precision.

The watches’ cases are crafted from 18k white gold, measuring 39mm in diameter and 10.7mm in thickness. They are adorned with 96 blue baguette-cut sapphires, totaling 3.87 carats, requiring 27 hours of meticulous gem-setting per watch. Sapphire crystals protect both the front and back of the timepieces, and water resistance is rated at 30 meters, typical for dress watches.

At the heart of these timepieces lies the in-house Caliber 2160 automatic tourbillon movement, which also powers Vacheron Constantin’s Traditionnelle and Overseas Tourbillon models. The movement is equipped with a one-minute tourbillon and a solid 22k gold peripheral rotor. Despite its complex construction, the Cal

. 2160 measures only 5.65mm thick and boasts a power reserve of 80 hours. Its design includes hand-bevelled bridges and perlage, both finished with the iconic Geneva stripes.

Each Métiers d’Art Tribute to The Celestial model features a dial engraved with a hand-guilloché representation of one of the 12 zodiac signs. The technique, developed by Vacheron Constantin’s master artisans, involves intricate triangular patterns that create depth and texture. The stars that form each constellation are set with brilliant-cut diamonds, adding a celestial glow to the watches.

The dials are crafted from 18k 5N red gold, with a sunburst finish applied to create a dynamic background. Four zodiac signs-Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Aquarius-feature additional opaline details, while each dial is then coated in a deep blue finish.

A thin line of red gold marks the stars’ positions, forming constellations that sparkle with diamonds. Each model’s dial is also printed with minute and second tracks in silver, completing the celestial map.

The watches come paired with a dark blue alligator leather strap with a distinctive large-scale exterior and small-scale lining. The straps feature a Maltese Cross-shaped folding clasp made of 18k white gold, with an additional 16 blue baguette-cut sapphires. These watches carry the Geneva Seal, ensuring that their performance and finishing meet the highest standards of Swiss craftsmanship.

While the Vacheron Constantin Métiers d’Art Tribute to The Celestial models are not officially limited editions, production will be extremely limited, and the watches will only be available through Vacheron Constantin boutiques. As for the price, though not officially disclosed, rumors suggest the watches may be priced around the six-figure range, with estimates placing them close to a quarter of a million dollars.
