The iPhone 17 Air is generating buzz with a fresh set of rumored colorways. Apple is reportedly planning to release it in four shades: black, silver, light gold, and light blue. The light blue, in particular, has caught attention, with one leaker describing it as ‘very light,’ almost white in many lighting conditions. 
This seems to fit the subtle, minimalist theme that Apple appears to be embracing, with the light gold following suit – a muted tone that avoids being too bold or flashy.
The theme of subtlety extends beyond just color. The iPhone 17 Air will likely be all about lightness and thinness. Apple is aiming for a device that feels slim and sleek, with the iPhone 17 Air’s dimensions coming in at just 5.5mm to 5.65mm thick and weighing only 145g. For those who prefer compact devices, this could be a big win.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature the new A19 Pro chip, though it will be a slightly less powerful version than what’s found in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. Still, it should provide a solid performance upgrade over its predecessor, the iPhone 16 Plus. It’s also worth noting that the iPhone 17 Air will likely match the Pro models with its RAM capacity, which should help with multitasking and smooth performance.
However, the iPhone 17 Air does have some compromises. The battery capacity is likely to be disappointing, which may lead to shorter battery life compared to other phones.
