Google Announces Merge of Chrome OS and Android

In a casual conversation, Samat asked a journalist why they were using an Apple Watch, iPhone, and MacBook.

When pressed for more details, he responded, “I asked because we’re going to be combining Chrome OS and Android into a single platform, and I am very interested in how people are using their laptops these days and what they’re getting done.”

This statement was the first public confirmation of a long-rumored plan by Google to merge the two operating systems. However, reports suggest that Google isn’t creating a brand-new OS from scratch.
