Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity is the next big chapter in ArenaNet’s enduring MMORPG, arriving October 28.

Building on its yearly expansion model, ArenaNet is doubling down on its promise to evolve and expand the world of Tyria without forcing players into endless gear grinds or level resets.

Available for pre-purchase now starting at $24.99, Visions of Eternity introduces players to the mysterious, magic-rich island of Castora. As rumors swirl about the island’s ley energy and the Inquest’s dark interest in it, players-once again stepping into the role of the Commander-will set out to stop the sinister plans in motion.

The standard edition includes bonus items like the Tropical Resin Kintsugi weapon set and a Sea Captain Hat, while the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions ramp up the rewards with unique skins, tools, extra character slots, and up to 4,000 Gems, the game’s premium currency.

At launch, players will gain access to two new explorable maps, with two more planned throughout 2026. Expect new raids, Convergence events, extended story arcs, and plenty of gear including legendary weapons and accessories.

Every profession gets a new Elite Specialization, offering fresh skills and build diversity, with a public beta running from August 20–27. Mount lovers can look forward to three new Mastery lines for the Skimmer, and housing enthusiasts get a major upgrade: a beachside Homestead plot on Castora, along with a new layout-sharing system to show off your designs.

ArenaNet seems far from slowing down. Even with speculation about a possible Guild Wars 3 in the pipeline, the team is still heavily investing in GW2’s ecosystem. Whether you’re a returning player or new to Tyria, this expansion feels like an open invitation to jump in without feeling left behind. And the best part? No gear treadmill required.
