The OnePlus 15 is expected to launch in October, possibly accompanied by another flagship device that could steal the spotlight. Rumors from Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggest that alongside the OnePlus 15, OnePlus may debut the OnePlus Ace 6. 
This would be a shift in strategy, as the OnePlus Ace 5 was released in December last year, months after the October debut of the OnePlus 13.
The OnePlus 15 is generating buzz with some potential downgrades compared to its predecessor, the OnePlus 13. One such change might be the display: the OnePlus 15 is rumored to have a 6.78-inch 1.5K screen, replacing last year’s 6.82-inch 2K display. Another major rumor is the possible end of OnePlus’ partnership with Hasselblad, which could lead to a new in-house camera system. If true, this would mark a significant shift for the company, as the Hasselblad system has been a key feature in OnePlus’ camera offerings.
Battery enthusiasts might be pleased with the rumored 7,000 mAh capacity and 100W wired and wireless charging. There’s also talk of a potential OnePlus 15 Pro being launched later in 2025. The OnePlus 14, however, is not in the cards, as the company has skipped it due to the Chinese superstition around the number ‘4’, which is considered unlucky.
On the chipset front, the OnePlus 15 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, a chipset that is yet to be announced. The 8 Elite 2, expected to debut in September, could power the OnePlus 15, making it one of the first devices to showcase the new chip.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Ace 6 is creating more intrigue. It’s expected to run on a Qualcomm chipset with the model number SM8845, which is likely the Snapdragon 8s Gen5. If true, this would position the Ace 6 just below the Snapdragon 8 Elite in terms of performance. The OnePlus Ace 6 might eventually serve as the foundation for a OnePlus 15R, much like the OnePlus Ace 5 did for the OnePlus 13R, which received praise as a flagship killer.
