Samsung has started rolling out updates for key Good Lock modules in preparation for the official One UI 8 release, ensuring a smooth upgrade for Galaxy users planning to move to Android 16. The updates affect four popular Good Lock components: Home Up, MultiStar, NavStar, and QuickStar, which now officially support One UI 8.
These updates are preloaded on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 and will be available for older Galaxy devices in the coming weeks.
The following modules have been updated:
- Home Up: 17.0.00.28
- MultiStar: 10.0.32
- NavStar: 8.0.00.4
- QuickStar: 9.0.00.01
These updates are now available in the Galaxy Store
. To install them, open the Galaxy Store app, go to Menu > Updates, and tap the “Update all” button in the top-right corner.
Among these updates, Home Up stands out with the most significant improvements. In One UI 8, Samsung has integrated several Home Up customization options directly into the core home screen settings, so users no longer need to use the module to make changes. Additionally, One UI 8 introduces enhanced animation tuning and blur customization natively, while the new DIY Home feature gives users greater control over layouts.
MultiStar, especially favored by foldable phone users, now includes a new Launcher Widget specifically for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, making it easier to access frequently used apps and actions right from the cover screen.
However, these new features are exclusive to One UI 8, so users on One UI 7 or earlier will not have access to them. To explore these updates, users will need to wait for their device to be eligible for the One UI 8 rollout, which is expected to begin soon.
Samsung’s Good Lock has become a go-to tool for power users who want to personalize their Galaxy devices. These new updates ensure it continues to be well-integrated with the latest Samsung software updates, and more module refreshes are expected as the stable One UI 8 release approaches.
