The upcoming vivo (or iQOO) smartphone is set to make waves with a powerful 8000mAh battery and the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset. Not long ago, Honor introduced its X70, boasting the largest battery yet in a mainstream phone at 8,300mAh.
However, vivo, or more specifically its sub-brand iQOO, is ready to launch a device that comes very close with an 8,000mAh battery.
The V2507A model, which has already been certified for sale in China, has generated quite a bit of buzz, especially after its appearance in the Geekbench database. This reveals some of the phone’s specifications, confirming its power-packed features. Under the hood, it runs the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, which is paired with a hefty 16GB of RAM. However, it’s running Android 15, which is somewhat disappointing considering Android 16 has already been released. But, it is what it is for now.
Performance-wise, the device seems promising, achieving a single-core score of 2,882 and a multi-core score of 8,762 in Geekbench 6.4 for Android. There are rumors that the phone will be marketed as the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro+, joining the existing Z10 Turbo and Z10 Turbo Pro in iQOO’s growing lineup, although nothing is confirmed yet.
As for the 8000mAh battery, it’s definitely a step in the right direction, and we’re curious to see how it will compete in an increasingly battery-hungry smartphone market.
