ArenaNet has revealed the first three elite specializations for the upcoming Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity expansion.
The three specializations are the Troubadour, Galeshot, and Luminary, each tied to the Mesmer, Ranger, and Guardian professions respectively.
The Troubadour is a musical genius, replacing the usual Mesmer visual clones with powerful sonic magic. Using an array of instruments, they can deal damage to enemies or provide vital support to allies. Meanwhile, the Galeshot is a master of tengu marksmanship, harnessing the wind’s power to launch special arrows and control the battlefield with devastating whirlwinds and tornadoes.
Finally, the Luminary is a flame-wielding protector, enveloped in their Radiant Shroud. With four new weapons of light and flame, they offer passive bonuses and alternate abilities based on the weapons they use.
Players can preview these specializations before the full release of Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity, which is set to launch on October 28. Beta access to these elite specs will be available from August 20-27, with all Guild Wars 2 players able to join in. Expect more information on the remaining elite specializations soon. In addition to these new specs, the expansion will introduce four new zones, a fresh storyline set in the distant island of Castora, a revamped Skimmer mount, two new raid encounters, a new Fractal dungeon, and much more, including new armors, weapons, relics, and legendary items.
