Samsung Unveils Bespoke AI Home Appliance Series at IFA 2024
Just ahead of the IFA 2024 expo in Berlin, Germany, Samsung has launched its latest Bespoke AI home appliance series in Europe. 
The notable introductions include the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, Bespoke AI Washer, and Bespoke Dishwasher, designed to be energy-efficient while making life easier for consumers.
Bespoke AI Laundry Combo
The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, unveiled at IFA 2023 and recently launched in South Korea, is now available in Europe with sales starting in Q4 2024. This flagship washer and dryer combo fits into a compact body, saving both energy and space. The device eliminates the need to transfer laundry between washer and dryer, cutting down on physical effort.
Equipped with advanced AI and Heatpump Drying technology, the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo optimizes washing and drying cycles through sensors and AI algorithms. It can detect load size, fabric types, and soil levels to choose the best cycle, saving up to 20% more power than A Grade labeled washing machines. The efficient heat pump technology reduces drying time by 60% and power use by 75%, while also minimizing fabric shrinkage.
This innovative appliance features a 7-inch touchscreen displaying energy and water usage, cycle details, remaining detergent, and smart home controls. Integrated with the upgraded Bixby voice assistant, powered by a Large Language Model (LLM), the machine understands and remembers complex voice commands. This assistant can help with appliance features, tips, and troubleshooting.
Bespoke AI Washer
Also showcased at IFA 2024, the Bespoke AI Washer will hit the European market next year. It boasts Bubble Shot and Ecobubble technologies, improving energy efficiency by consuming 55% less energy than the minimum requirements for a Class A rating. The washer also features a 7-inch touchscreen and the advanced Bixby assistant for personalized washing recommendations and smart home device control.
Bespoke Dishwasher
The Bespoke Dishwasher, currently available in several European countries, enhances kitchen interiors with its stylish design. It offers significant energy efficiency, using 10% less power than required for a Class A rating and consuming just 7.9 liters of water. The WaterJet Clean feature provides intensive cleaning, while the Active Fan Dry system ensures energy-efficient drying with lower latent heat usage.
All the new Bespoke appliances integrate with the SmartThings app, offering AI Energy Mode to enhance energy savings. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo can save up to 60% power, the Bespoke AI Washer up to 70% less power, and the Bespoke Dishwasher up to 21% less energy using the Pots & Pans program.
