Ai+, a smartphone brand under NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, is set to launch its first-ever devices today in New Delhi, India.
The much-anticipated Pulse and Nova 5G smartphones have been teased for weeks, and while initial claims suggested prices starting at INR 5,000 ($60/€50), leaked slides paint a different picture.
According to the leaked slides, the Ai+ Pulse will retail at a base price of INR 12,999 ($150/€130), while the Ai+ Nova 5G will start at INR 14,999 ($175/€150). These prices are significantly higher than the initially expected figures, raising questions about the value proposition of these devices in a competitive market.
While Ai+ has yet to release detailed specifications for the Pulse and Nova 5G, it has confirmed several features: both smartphones will run on the NxtQuantum OS, sport 5,000 mAh batteries, and support storage expansion up to 1TB. Additionally, both devices are expected to feature 50MP cameras, further aligning them with mid-range expectations in the smartphone market.
Speculation surrounding the pricing hints at the possibility of a more affordable Pulse 4G model, which may fall under INR 10,000 ($115/€100). This potential model could cater to the budget-conscious market segment, but no official confirmation has been made.
Ai+ is also expected to launch a smartwatch with integrated TWS earphones, an image of which was previously leaked. However, there’s no word yet on whether this will be part of today’s event. The launch is scheduled for 12:30 PM IST (7 AM UTC), and anticipation is building around what Ai+ will reveal.
