India’s smartphone market has just seen a new entrant, and it’s making a bold statement with the latest buzzword – artificial intelligence. Introducing Ai+, a new brand under the NxtQuantum Shift Technologies umbrella, led by CEO Madhav Sheth.
The first two smartphones from Ai+ are here: the Ai+ Pulse and Ai+ Nova 5G.
Both phones come with an entry-level specification set, but the real highlight is the privacy-driven NxtQuantum OS. Based on Android 15, this operating system ensures that your data is stored securely on Indian servers, utilizing a zero-trust framework. It promises to be free from unnecessary bloatware and intrusive tracking, featuring AI engines that are locally trained to optimize the user experience.
The Ai+ Nova 5G sports a 6.7-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Ai+ Pulse offers a 90Hz panel. Both smartphones come with a 5MP front-facing camera and a 50MP main shooter on the rear. The Nova 5G is powered by the more robust Unisoc T8200 chipset, with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. In comparison, the Ai+ Pulse uses the Unisoc T615, with options for 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB storage.
Storage on both phones is expandable, and they come with some solid extras: a 3.5mm headphone jack, an FM radio, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Both devices share the same 5,000mAh battery, supporting 10W charging.
Color options for the Ai+ Nova 5G and Ai+ Pulse include Black, Blue, Green, Pink, and Purple. The Ai+ Nova 5G starts at INR 4,999 (about $58), while the Ai+ Pulse is priced at INR 7,999 (around $93). The Nova 5G will be available from July 12, followed by the Pulse on July 13.
