AirPods Pro 3 Bluetooth ID Leak Suggests Imminent Launch

It looks like the AirPods Pro 3 might be closer than we think. Just a couple of weeks ago, iOS 26 beta code dropped a subtle hint about these upcoming earbuds. Now, there’s more proof of their existence-a new Bluetooth ID tied to Apple’s device-syncing database has emerged, and it could very well belong to the AirPods Pro 3. This discovery comes courtesy of MacRumors, who found a fresh identifier in Apple’s database. While Apple is usually great at keeping things under wraps, even they can’t escape a few slip-ups.

One of these slip-ups was the direct reference to the AirPods Pro 3 in iOS 26 beta code, as well as another mention of “AirPods Pro 2 or later” in a software update text.

This new Bluetooth ID appeared in a database update that typically contains a list of Bluetooth IDs for accessories like AirPods and Beats headphones. But there’s something new here-an identifier (8239) that doesn’t match any currently available products. The AirPods Pro 2, for example, have an ID of 8228. This points to the possibility that this new Bluetooth ID is linked to the still-unannounced AirPods Pro 3.

While Apple might unveil the AirPods Pro 3 later this year, it’s also possible we’ll see them hit the market in 2025 or even 2026. But considering how close we are to the end of 2025, it seems more likely the new premium earbuds will arrive soon. The AirPods Pro 2 are already a top-tier product, delivering stellar sound, incredible active noise cancellation, and an immersive Spatial Audio experience-making them an ideal choice for iPhone users. With these features already in place, I’m excited to see how the AirPods Pro 3 could improve upon an already impressive product.

As we approach the potential release date, we’ll hopefully get more details on what to expect from Apple’s next-gen earbuds. Stay tuned!
