AMD is ramping up its Ryzen 9000 lineup with a new addition for budget-conscious gamers and enterprise users alike. Spotted quietly on the ASUS website, the Ryzen 7 9700F has emerged as a graphics-less counterpart to the 9700X.
Offering the same 8-core, 16-thread layout and 32 MB of L3 cache, the 9700F clocks in at a 3.8 GHz base frequency and 65W TDP – but skips the integrated GPU entirely
. That means a dedicated graphics card is a must, but it also means a leaner price tag for those already running discrete GPUs.
The 9700F is essentially a repackaged 9700X minus the iGPU, a familiar cost-saving strategy AMD fans have seen before. While the boost clock hasn’t been revealed, early signs suggest performance will be similar to its iGPU-equipped sibling.
Even more intriguing is AMD’s stealth rollout of its Ryzen PRO 9000 series, also spotted on ASUS’s CPU support list. These chips, built for low-end enterprise systems, carry familiar specs but in a more workstation-focused flavor. Three PRO SKUs are currently listed:
- Ryzen PRO 9 9945: 12 cores / 24 threads, 3.4 GHz base, 65W TDP, 64 MB L3 cache
- Ryzen PRO 7 9745: 8 cores / 16 threads, 3.8 GHz base, 65W TDP, 32 MB L3 cache
- Ryzen PRO 5 9645: 6 cores / 12 threads, 3.9 GHz base, 65W TDP, 32 MB L3 cache
These chips match their consumer Ryzen 9000 equivalents closely, with the 9945 mimicking the 9900X’s core layout but at a lower TDP and reduced base clock. AMD seems to be targeting value-driven businesses and professionals who prioritize efficiency over raw boost speeds.
Despite no official announcement yet, the listings suggest a launch may be imminent. AMD appears to be making strategic use of its existing silicon, trimming features like iGPUs to maximize yields and meet varied market demands.
For gamers, creators, and professionals who don’t need integrated graphics, the 9700F might hit a sweet spot – assuming the price drop makes up for the missing GPU and reduced overclocking flexibility. As for the PRO lineup, it’s business as usual with just enough tweaks to justify a new label.
