AppleCare One: One Plan for All Your Devices

Apple has introduced a new subscription service called AppleCare One, designed to simplify device protection. With AppleCare One, users can protect up to three Apple devices for a monthly fee of $19.99. Additional devices can be added for $5.99 each per month.

Available in the U.S. from July 24, users can sign up via iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple’s website, or at Apple Stores.

Unlike AppleCare+ plans, which are tied to individual products, AppleCare One consolidates coverage under one subscription. Benefits include unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery service, 24/7 support, and Apple-certified repairs. Additionally, theft and loss protection now extends to iPads and Apple Watches, not just iPhones.

Apple claims the plan could save users up to $11 per month compared to separate AppleCare+ plans. This pricing is uniform across all devices, meaning users can include premium models like the iPhone 16 Pro Max or Apple Watch Ultra without additional costs.

One of the major highlights of AppleCare One is that it covers existing devices still in good condition. Customers can enroll Apple products up to four years old (headphones have a one-year limit). In the past, AppleCare+ required enrollment within 60 days of purchase.

The plan is flexible, automatically adjusting when users upgrade their devices. If a device is traded in via Apple, the new device will replace the old one in the plan. Users can also swap devices in and out of the plan as needed, making it a great option for families with a mix of newer and older Apple devices.

AppleCare One is tied to the user’s Apple ID, meaning it cannot be shared across family members with different accounts. Claims for theft and loss are limited to three incidents per year across all devices, compared to the two claims per device allowed with AppleCare+.

The service launches in the U.S. on July 24, with plans for availability in other regions later. Sign-ups can be completed on Apple’s website or directly from supported Apple devices.

AppleCare One offers a second-chance option for users who no longer have active AppleCare+ coverage or never signed up. As consumers accumulate more Apple products, bundling protection into one plan could offer convenience and cost savings. However, users with lower-cost devices or accessories might find more value in standalone AppleCare+ plans.
