Arc Raiders is officially landing on October 30, 2025, and it’s looking like one of the most intriguing sci-fi co-op shooters of the year. Revealed at Summer Game Fest 2025, the latest trailer confirmed that this ambitious free-to-play title will launch across PC (Steam & Epic), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Developed by Embark Studios-known for the adrenaline-packed The Finals–Arc Raiders takes a bold leap in direction. This time, players dive into a multiplayer PvPvE extraction adventure, set in a far-future Earth drenched in a gritty sci-fi atmosphere.
It’s not just about shooting; it’s about surviving, scavenging, and escaping with your squad.
Back in May, Embark ran a successful Tech Test featuring its three-player sandbox system, and the results were promising. According to Executive Producer Aleksander Grøndal, feedback was instrumental in tightening up gameplay mechanics, from performance tweaks to balancing the in-game economy.
“The test helped us zero in on key aspects to polish,” said Grøndal. “We’re improving onboarding for new players, balancing the risk-reward mechanics, and making sure every drop into the zone feels rewarding and tense.”
With its mix of tactical teamplay, atmospheric world-building, and loot-driven progression, Arc Raiders is shaping up to be a solid contender in the extraction shooter space-one that’s not trying to be another Marathon, but instead carving out its own sci-fi sandbox full of mystery and danger.
More content is expected post-launch, including new maps, story events, and expanded gear systems. If Embark can deliver on its promise, Arc Raiders might just be the game that makes extraction shooters mainstream.
