Astro Bot Adds Cloud, Sephiroth, and More with New DLC Levels

Team Asobi has just dropped a fresh batch of DLC levels for Astro Bot, bringing five new levels to the game and pushing the total count over 90. But that’s not all – this update also delivers a surprise that PlayStation fans have been eagerly waiting for. Two iconic characters from the Final Fantasy series, Cloud and Sephiroth, have finally joined the ranks of cameo bots.

Players can now collect these fan-favorite characters as part of their in-game bot collection.

These two additions will undoubtedly excite any Final Fantasy and PlayStation fan, especially since the cameo bots in Astro Bot are a fun way to pay homage to the broader gaming world. As if that wasn’t enough, another surprising cameo bot inclusion is Atsu, the main character from Ghost of Yotei, the upcoming sequel to the hit samurai game Ghost of Tsushima. With its own State of Play presentation scheduled for later today, it’s clear that Team Asobi is continuing to build strong connections between their games and the wider PlayStation universe.

While the new DLC and the addition of these beloved characters will make fans happy, it’s a bit disappointing that there’s still no update on the Astro Bot-themed DualSense controller that was teased last month. It’s still slated for release “later this year,” but no official date has been confirmed yet. Regardless, these updates keep the spirit of Astro Bot alive and well, with plenty of exciting content for fans to dive into.
