Koei Tecmo has officially announced that Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian is set to release on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch on September 26, 2025. Additionally, the game will be available on PS4, but only in Japan. This announcement comes with the debut of a brand-new trailer, offering the first substantial look at the game since it was first revealed last year.
The trailer delves into the new characters introduced in the game and showcases some of the exciting gameplay features.
The story of Atelier Resleriana takes place on the continent of Lantarna, where two main protagonists, Rias Eidreise and Slade Clauslyter, set out to uncover the mystery behind the sudden disappearance of the citizens of Hallfein. As they navigate this enigma, they also face the challenge of restoring their own devastated hometown. With its unique blend of mystery, adventure, and character-driven storytelling, the game promises to immerse players in an unforgettable experience.
This release marks the second game in the Atelier series to launch in 2025, following Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land, which debuted on consoles and PC in March of this year. In a review of Atelier Yumia, Wccftech’s Kai Tatsumoto noted that the game “sometimes simplifies things too much,” pointing out how it introduces new players to the series by softening the previously daunting crafting mechanics and time limits that characterized earlier Atelier titles.
Fans are now eagerly waiting to see whether Atelier Resleriana will continue this trend of simplifying core mechanics while still offering enough complexity to keep long-time fans engaged. With Koei Tecmo and developer Gust’s track record of quality RPGs, it’s exciting to think about what they will bring to this highly anticipated title.
