The much-anticipated reveal of Battlefield 6 is rumored to be just around the corner. Content creator Doom49 reported receiving a promotional package this week, hinting that the live unveiling could be imminent. According to rivaLxfactor, additional details have surfaced, confirming that EA is organizing a 3-day event at the end of July, likely on Tuesday, July 29, where Battlefield 6 will be live-revealed. 
This event will follow a format similar to the Battlefield 1 reveal, where developers will speak about the game, followed by a live round with players after the video presentation.
EA has opted to skip Gamescom 2025, as confirmed by their PR agency to Wccftech, choosing instead to hold their own event. This could also mean that a public open beta is expected soon after the event, based on a datamined leak.
With development spanning several years, Battlefield 6 is being shaped by four different studios: DICE Motive Studios (responsible for Star Wars: Squadrons and the Dead Space remake), Criterion Games (working on both the single-player and multiplayer aspects), and Ripple Effect Studios (the team behind Battlefield 2042’s Community Portal). EA is reportedly aiming for a massive milestone of 100 million players, which would make Battlefield 6 the most-played entry in the series. With a reported $400 million budget and various development challenges, EA is under pressure to deliver a game that can revive the franchise after the less-than-ideal reception of Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042.
EA has stated that the game will be released before the end of their fiscal year, which is set for April 2026. Whether they can avoid the pitfalls of past entries and meet their ambitious goals remains to be seen. One thing is certain: Battlefield 6 has a lot riding on its success, and EA must ensure it is polished before launch.
