Electronic Arts has officially confirmed that the much-anticipated Battlefield 6 will unveil its first trailer on Thursday, July 24 at 8 AM Pacific Time (11 AM Eastern, 5 PM Central European Time).
The trailer promises to deliver the ultimate all-out warfare experience that fans have been eagerly waiting for.
Insiders and content creators had hinted at a reveal event earlier this week, and yesterday, some sharp-eyed users uncovered that DICE and EA are planning an Open Beta in early August. This will be the first opportunity for the public to dive into Battlefield 6, following exclusive testing by Battlefield Labs. While leaks have already given us glimpses of what to expect, including exciting new features, the official reveal is sure to heighten the anticipation.
April saw the development teams from DICE, Motive, Criterion, and Ripple Effect Studios discussing how destructibility would play a major role in the game, allowing players to reshape the battlefield to their advantage. Rubble will remain in the environment, offering strategic cover throughout gameplay.
In addition to its epic multiplayer action, Battlefield 6 will also feature a full-fledged single-player campaign. Motive Studios is spearheading the story, which draws inspiration from films like Civil War and TV shows like Lioness.
After the mixed reception of Battlefield 2042, the excitement surrounding this reveal is palpable, especially as Electronic Arts reportedly has a massive budget of $400 million invested in the game. EA is aiming for a target of 100 million players, with a release window set within this fiscal year. If the Open Beta arrives in August, the full release may be closer than we think.
