Battlefield 6 Leaks Show New Rush Mode and Destruction Mechanics

The hype around Battlefield 6 continues to build, especially after new leaked footage surfaced online showcasing a full Rush Mode match from the game’s Alpha. As the Battlefield Labs testing phase rolls on, new leaks are surfacing regularly, offering glimpses into what could be one of the most exciting installments in the series.

The latest leak, posted on the Battlefield subreddit, has caught the attention of many fans.

One of the most notable features that has emerged from the leaks is the return of destruction, which is set to play a major role in the gameplay. Unlike previous installments, this time, destruction won’t just be about bringing down buildings or structures-it will leave lasting rubble that will stay on the map, creating new cover options for players as the match progresses. This evolution of the destruction mechanic is sure to make every match dynamic and change how players approach strategies in real-time.

However, while excitement is building, there’s still much to be revealed about the game. Electronic Arts had previously teased that Battlefield 6 would be unveiled during the Summer of 2025, with a release slated for April 2026. But, as expected, the game was absent from the Summer Game Fest 2025 event, leaving many to speculate when the official reveal will take place. The most likely events for the unveiling now appear to be the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, scheduled for August 19, 2025, or perhaps a dedicated event from EA itself.

In terms of development, Battlefield 6 is being worked on by four studios. DICE, the franchise creator, is leading the charge on multiplayer, while Criterion is contributing to both single-player and multiplayer content. Motive is crafting an engaging single-player campaign, which is said to be inspired by movies like Civil War and TV shows like Lioness. Ripple Effect is also involved, creating a new Battlefield experience with elements of the franchise’s DNA, which could include an extraction shooter or battle royale mode.

As Battlefield 6 gears up for launch, it will have stiff competition from Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is expected to drop around late October to early November 2025. The new Battlefield could target a later release window, hoping to capitalize on any discontent from Call of Duty fans.
