Bloober Team, the studio behind the Silent Hill 2 Remake and Layers of Fear, has unveiled an exciting new look at its upcoming title, Cronos: The New Dawn. In a fresh 10-minute gameplay showcase, we get an in-depth view of the sci-fi horror adventure that’s set to be their most terrifying yet. 
Although the game is slated for a Fall 2025 release window, the gameplay footage gives us a glimpse of the action and mechanics that will drive the tension and suspense throughout the game.
The new footage focuses on the protagonist navigating through Sector A-0, utilizing gravity manipulation and environmental interaction to make progress. This unique gameplay feature allows players to alter their surroundings in creative ways to overcome obstacles and approach objectives. The showcase also highlights the game’s eerie atmosphere, where every step is calculated, and the protagonist is always on edge, fingers poised on the trigger, ready to defend against whatever horrors lurk in the shadows.
First teased in October 2024, Cronos: The New Dawn is shaping up to be Bloober Team’s most confident and ambitious project to date. Despite a rocky period in their history following the mixed reception of games after Layers of Fear, the studio found its stride with the highly praised Silent Hill 2 Remake. This success has not only revitalized the studio but also led to the announcement of a Silent Hill remake, solidifying Bloober Team as a force in the horror genre once more.
