Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Set for Global Reveal at Gamescom 2025

Activision is bringing the next big Call of Duty reveal to Gamescom 2025, and fans are hyped.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will officially get its global spotlight during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19, as confirmed by host Geoff Keighley.

This marks a notable shift, as Call of Duty reveals usually drop in standalone events. The decision to showcase Black Ops 7 on a massive stage like Gamescom suggests Activision wants a broader audience for this entry – and there may still be a separate deep-dive showcase coming later.

While we’ve only seen a brief teaser at the Xbox Games Showcase, which hinted at a darker tone and a futuristic 2035 setting, more concrete details are expected at Gamescom. One big confirmed feature: the campaign will be fully co-op, letting players team up for the entire story mode.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to launch later in 2025 and will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
