Chopard Mille Miglia 2025: The Ultimate Tribute to Racing Legends

Chopard continues its prestigious partnership with the Mille Miglia, celebrating its 38th consecutive year as the World Sponsor and Official Timekeeper of what Enzo Ferrari called ‘la corsa più bella del mondo’ – the ‘Most Beautiful Race in the World.’ For 2025, Chopard unveils two updated models in the Mille Miglia collection: the GTS Power Control and the Classic Chronograph.

The Mille Miglia watches have always been more than just timepieces; they’re a tribute to a passion for automobiles. Unlike other car-themed watches, which often focus on a single car brand, the Mille Miglia collection represents a love for motorsport in its entirety. This universal appeal was clear to me when I attended the 2019 Mille Miglia, where I shared the thrill of driving on this legendary race, feeling the rush like your hair is on fire.

The Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss is a perfect example of Chopard’s commitment to honoring motor racing legends. Named in tribute to the famed British racer, the 2025 model features Chopard’s proprietary Lucent Steel, a unique alloy that is the brightest, purest steel in the industry. The watch’s 40.5mm case, paired with a racing strap and a polished brass dial, evokes the iconic silver of Moss’s Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR. The dial is easy to read at night, thanks to its luminous hour markers. The caseback reveals the reliable ETA 2892 movement, which boasts a 54-hour power reserve. However, some may prefer Chopard’s in-house chronograph calibers at this price point.

For many, the real highlight of the 2025 Mille Miglia releases is the GTS Power Control. This watch is the epitome of what a car enthusiast would wear, with its fuel gauge-style power reserve and tire tread-patterned strap. The GTS Power Control is equipped with Chopard’s in-house 01.02-M movement, a massive upgrade that is both aesthetically pleasing and functionally advanced. The case, crafted from Lucent Steel, measures 43mm, offering a sleek yet durable design with a 100-meter water resistance. The salmon-colored dial with Super-LumiNova markers gives it a distinct look that’s both stylish and practical. Limited to just 250 pieces, the GTS Power Control is priced at $7,630, while the Classic Chronograph Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss is priced at $10,800, with only 70 units available.

Both watches showcase Chopard’s dedication to combining motorsport heritage with luxury watchmaking. For those passionate about racing and fine timepieces, these releases represent a blend of history, style, and cutting-edge technology.
