The vampires are back – and they’re hungrier than ever. Bandai Namco has officially announced Code Vein 2 at Summer Game Fest 2025, reigniting the blood-soaked legacy of its anime soulslike predecessor. 
Scheduled for release in 2026, the sequel lands on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The original Code Vein gained cult status for its fusion of stylish anime aesthetics, deep lore, and Soulsborne mechanics. With its return, Bandai Namco is pushing the formula further. Expect faster-paced, more strategic combat, a refined partner system, sprawling semi-open maps, and twisted bosses that look like nightmares sprung from the subconscious of a Dark Souls fan with a love for Tokyo Ghoul.
New in the sequel is a time-based ability system – players can manipulate time during battle, adding another layer of tactical depth. While the first game had its quirks and some janky moments, fans are hopeful Code Vein 2 will smooth out the rough edges and deliver a polished, next-gen anime action RPG experience.
