Fatshark, the Swedish developer behind Warhammer 40K Darktide, has celebrated the successful launch of the game’s first paid DLC. The addition of the Adeptus Arbites class has been a hit, and the company is eager to share some impressive stats.
CEO and Co-Founder Martin Wahlund expressed his excitement, saying, “We exceeded our estimated player goals by more than double on launch day alone. Thank you for making this launch unforgettable!”
Players have been embracing the new class, with the Cyber-Mastiff companion being petted over 459,760 times, proving how much players love their loyal furry friend. So far, players have taken down more than 553 million enemies while wielding the Adeptus Arbites character. When it comes to weapons, the Mk III Branx Pattern Arbites Shock Maul is leading the charge with 969,008 uses, while the Mk III Executioner Pattern Arbites Shotgun tops the ranged weapon chart with 1,157,103 kills.
The new ability, Break The Line, has also been popular, with players activating it over 715,525 times. For those looking to get in on the action, the Arbites DLC is priced at $11.99, with a Deluxe Edition available for $18.99. The Deluxe Edition includes a unique class outfit, companion outfit, a portrait frame for all characters, and four weapon skins.
But that’s not all! Alongside the DLC, Fatshark launched a free update to improve the overall experience. The update introduces a more structured narrative path, which will help new players ease into the game. The mission board system has also been revamped, offering more options for every character. Additionally, the max number of Operatives and weapon loadouts has increased to eight. Plus, players can now enjoy around 900 new banter conversations between characters.
Interestingly, Fatshark wasn’t the only developer releasing Adeptus Arbites content this week. Owlcat’s Rogue Trader cRPG has also introduced the class in its Lex Imperialis expansion, adding a new companion, Solomorne Anthar, and further immersing players in the Emperor’s justice.
