The highly anticipated DLSS Swapper 1.2 is now available, bringing in a batch of smart updates that should make tweaking and managing DLSS settings even more intuitive for gamers worldwide.
Developed by Brad Moore (not affiliated with NVIDIA), DLSS Swapper gives users direct control over their DLSS .DLL files-letting them swap versions easily without relying on the official NVIDIA App.
One of the biggest new features is DLSS Presets, which can now be activated either globally or per-game. The feature is located in both the Game Picker and Global Override sections. However, users must have the right driver profile for the preset to function-no profile, no preset. It’s worth noting that presets A through E have been deprecated (though not deleted), and preset K is now the go-to, offering a solid balance between visual fidelity and performance.
Version 1.2 also rolls out multi-language support-a big plus for international gamers. The tool now supports English (AU, UK, US), Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan). For those whose language isn’t available, a custom translation guide is available so the community can contribute their own localizations.
Another key improvement lies in the DLL version handling. Users can now clearly view DLL versions across the app, which reduces confusion. Outdated backup files are also automatically removed after updates, helping keep things clean. And for the detail-oriented, the new game history page logs all DLL changes for easy tracking.
On the AMD side, DLSS Swapper now reflects AMD FSR versions using internal version numbers (e.g., “v3.1.4”) rather than vague external naming like “v1.0.1234.” It’s a move aimed at improving transparency and consistency across different upscaling technologies.
Overall, DLSS Swapper 1.2 isn’t just a quality-of-life update-it’s a thoughtful expansion of control and clarity for anyone customizing their DLSS experience. And with continued community-driven translation support and crash fixes like 1.2.0.2 already rolling out, it’s clear that this tool is evolving fast to meet gamer needs.
