On June 6, just a day after the ‘Head Start’ launch, developer Funcom rolled out the game’s first hotfix patch, primarily targeting server stability and a few early issues spotted by eager players diving into the vast Arrakis sandbox.

The servers were temporarily taken offline for the update, which focused heavily on back-end fixes. While Funcom didn’t go into specifics, they emphasized that server performance improvements are a top priority. Additionally, a new pop-up was added to clarify that servers listed under the ‘Private’ tab are externally managed, offering transparency for players navigating server options.

Not all fixes require downtime-some changes take effect immediately, while others will trigger short maintenance windows. Players are advised to keep an eye out for service notifications while in-game.

Although full reviews are still pending, early access impressions have been largely positive. In our preview during the closed beta, we noted that the game delivers an immersive experience for longtime fans of the Dune universe. The alternate canon might surprise purists, but it allows Funcom to expand the lore in creative ways.
