While official news of the DLC and new features like Duo Expeditions have been confirmed, modder TerraMag has taken matters into their own hands and unlocked early access to these new encounters.
On June 3, the Elden Ring official account shared that Nightreign’s DLC, set to launch later this year, will include ‘enhanced fights’ against the existing Nightlords. Although no further information was given, the announcement sparked curiosity among the community, and modders quickly began digging through the game files.
Modder TerraMag (with a nod to PC Gamer for the find) uncovered the hidden boss content already embedded within the game, and crafted a playable mod using this material. While these are unfinished versions, they provide an exciting preview of what could be in store. TerraMag’s findings include what appear to be third phases for several Nightlords, such as Adel, Libra, and Caligo, along with new boss models and additional attack patterns.
