Galaxy Buds Core and Galaxy Buds 3 FE: Samsung’s Next Affordable Earbuds?

Samsung is rumored to be working on two new affordable earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Core and Galaxy Buds 3 FE, following the launch of last year’s premium Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and the budget-friendly Galaxy Buds FE.

While the names might sound odd, it’s not surprising given Samsung’s unpredictable branding strategies for its wireless earbuds compared to its more consistent Android smartphone lineup.

The Galaxy Buds 3 and 3 Pro followed the Galaxy Buds 2 and 2 Pro, while the Buds FE were released without a direct predecessor. In fact, the Galaxy Buds Plus and Buds Live didn’t even receive direct sequels. So, we shouldn’t be too shocked by the naming choices, although the decision to follow up the first-gen Buds FE with the Buds 3 FE instead of a more logical Buds 2 FE might raise some eyebrows.

Interestingly, the name “Galaxy Buds Core” has appeared in leaks before, but many expected it to replace the Galaxy Buds FE. Now, it seems that Samsung might launch two new pairs of earbuds, both targeting budget-conscious consumers. The exact price and how these models will compare to the existing Galaxy Buds FE in terms of specs, design, and features remain unclear.

For now, these earbuds haven’t been officially confirmed, and their names could still be placeholders or errors. They were spotted in the latest version of Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Controller app, alongside other models like the Galaxy Buds 2, 3, Live, and Pro. While it’s rare, these kinds of leaks sometimes contain typos or unfinalized product names, so it’s best to stay cautious and expect some exciting new earbuds in the Galaxy Buds lineup soon.
