Galaxy S26 Ultra Leak Shows Off Larger OLED Display and Slimmer Bezels

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most refined flagships yet. According to new leaks, the phone will sport an even larger 6.89-inch Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) OLED display – up from the S25 Ultra’s 6.86 inches – but without expanding the overall width of the device, which remains at 77.6mm.

That’s possible thanks to ultra-thin bezels reportedly trimmed down to just 1.15mm, promising an immersive viewing experience with a sleek modern look.

While the size bump seems modest on paper, the real change lies under the surface. The CoE OLED panel, previously seen in the Galaxy Z Fold, eliminates the traditional polarizer, replacing it with a lighter color filter system. This improves brightness, enhances contrast, and crucially, reduces battery drain – making the S26 Ultra not just brighter, but also more efficient.

Ergonomics-wise, a bigger screen usually means bulkier handling, but Samsung appears to be countering that with a thinner and lighter chassis, making the S26 Ultra more manageable despite the phablet-sized screen. However, some users are still skeptical about the 5000mAh battery holding up under such power-hungry upgrades.

Samsung’s commitment to AI continues, though the real headline here may be how much display innovation they’ve packed into what looks to be an equally slim form factor. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is poised to be a fusion of high-end screen tech, battery-conscious design, and flagship-level AI – even if it risks reigniting the phablet debate.
