Get ready for Samsung’s latest wave of smartwatches. Renowned leaker Evan Blass has once again pulled back the curtain on what’s coming, revealing images of the entire Galaxy Watch 8 lineup – including the standard Galaxy Watch 8, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and the new Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025). Each model showcases a modern squircle design, following the aesthetic footsteps of last year’s Galaxy Watch Ultra.

The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic appears to retain the fan-favorite rotating bezel, though it’s slightly thicker than its siblings to make room for the feature.

Visually, all three models embrace unified styling, making it easier for consumers to choose based on features rather than form alone.

Under the hood, these smartwatches will ship with One UI 8 Watch, layered on top of Wear OS 6. That means users can expect smoother animations, better overall battery efficiency (Samsung promises around a 10% improvement compared to Wear OS 5), and new Material 3 Expressive visuals. One of the more eye-catching changes is dynamic color theming – the UI color accents adapt based on your selected watch face.

While the software adds polish, hardware upgrades are also in play. Leaks point to a model number SM-L505U with 64GB of storage, LTE support, and a 46mm frame. It even popped up briefly on eBay for $150 before being removed – an unusually early sighting for an unreleased product.

Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy Watch 8 series at its next Unpacked event in New York City, rumored to take place on July 13. Alongside the watches, Samsung will also launch its 2025 foldables, making this one of the biggest hardware drops of the year.

As of now, Samsung holds 9% of the global smartwatch market, trailing behind Apple and Huawei. The Galaxy Watch 8 series could be the key to shifting those numbers upward, especially if it delivers on the design and performance promises.
