Just days before Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, an unexpected leak has thrown the tech world into a frenzy. 
According to well-known tipster Roland Quandt from WinFuture, newly leaked promotional material reveals a surprising twist in Samsung’s foldable lineup – particularly with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
Contrary to earlier reports suggesting the budget Flip 7 FE would have a smaller display to justify its price cut, Quandt’s leak claims both the standard Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Flip 7 FE will sport identical screens: a 6.9-inch main display and a 4.1-inch cover display. This unprecedented move could mean Samsung is finally treating its budget foldables less like stripped-down versions and more like competitive alternatives with premium feel.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is also in the spotlight with specs that might redefine what users expect from a foldable flagship. The device will reportedly weigh just 216g – making it potentially lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra – while still featuring an 8-inch main display and a 6.5-inch outer screen. That’s thinner than its predecessor too, coming in at 8.9mm folded and 4.2mm unfolded. Inside, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (Elite) chip is expected to power it, alongside a 4,000 mAh battery and a 200MP primary camera.
While these leaks look promising, caution is advised. The authenticity of the promotional material hasn’t been officially confirmed. Still, if this leak proves accurate, Samsung appears to be doubling down on design equality and shifting cost-saving measures elsewhere, signaling a bold evolution in its foldable strategy. All eyes now turn to July 9, where the official announcements could either confirm or completely flip the script once more.
