A Repackaged Fold 6 SE?

The Fold 7 is strikingly similar to the Fold 6 SE, a special variant mainly released in China. From its size and 200MP sensor to its design choices-like swapping the under-display selfie cam for a punch-hole lens-everything points to a global re-release of the SE under a new name.

While some earlier reports hinted at a slightly larger display on the Fold 7, the latest intel suggests the size remains unchanged. Even its slim profile, just 4.2mm when unfolded, mirrors that of the SE.

Remaining Questions

Despite the wealth of details, a few mysteries linger. Will the Flip 7 run on the Exynos 2500 chip globally or only in certain regions? And what about its camera setup? Those details are still under wraps.

The Fold 7 is also expected to carry a 4400 mAh battery with just 25W wired charging-underwhelming for a 2025 flagship. Still, its combination of cutting-edge materials, premium design, and Samsung’s continued refinement makes it one of the most promising foldables on the horizon.

Expect the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Fold 7, and possibly the Flip 7 FE to be unveiled next month, with a full market launch slated for August.
