Samsung is ready to shake up its foldable lineup with the new Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, a more affordable spin on last year’s Z Flip6.
As confirmed by a fresh Geekbench listing, this Fan Edition model will pack the Exynos 2400 chipset-Samsung’s 2023 flagship silicon-alongside 8GB of RAM and Android 16 out of the box, topped with the sleek new One UI 8 interface.
The benchmark scores show solid performance: 1,940 in single-core and 6,136 in multi-core. That’s not quite Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 level, but still very capable for everyday multitasking and camera work, especially at a lower price point.
The Z Flip7 FE seems to be repurposing the core design and features of the Z Flip6. Expect a 6.8-inch main foldable display, a 3.4-inch cover screen, and a 4,000mAh battery. And while it might not be the bleeding edge of foldables, its rumored starting price of KRW 1 million (around $740) positions it as an attractive gateway to the foldable world.
While some fans were hoping for the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Exynos 2500 chips, the Exynos 2400 is a reasonable compromise to keep costs down while still delivering strong performance and modern features. And for users in Europe-based on the model number SM-F761B-this could be one of the best-value foldables of 2025.
All eyes now turn to Samsung Unpacked this week, where the Flip7 FE will debut alongside the Z Flip7, Z Fold7, and the new Galaxy Watch 8 series. The FE might not be the flashiest of the bunch, but it could easily be the most accessible.
