Google has finally confirmed the big date: the Pixel 10 lineup will be officially unveiled on August 20. 
While earlier rumors suggested an August 13 reveal, it looks like Google settled on a one-week delay – though we’ll never know if that change was ever really in play.
Either way, the Pixel 10 family is arriving with quite the entourage. Expect to see the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and the Pixel Watch 4. And don’t be surprised if the new Pixel Buds 2a also pop up during the event.
This year’s Pixel phones come equipped with telephoto cameras that now support macro photography – a feature previously limited to ultrawide lenses. They’ll also support Google’s new “Pixelsnap” magnetic accessories, though unlike the iPhone, these magnets won’t be built into the phone itself. You’ll need to use a compatible case for any Pixelsnap functionality.
Under the hood, the entire lineup is powered by the new Tensor G5 chip, marking a significant shift as it’s the first Tensor SoC made by TSMC instead of Samsung. This move could signal a long-awaited bump in performance and thermal efficiency for Pixel devices.
Still, beyond the chip and accessories, many fans are hoping for more meaningful changes. Features like dual-app support and quality-of-life Android improvements such as a double-tap to turn off the screen are high on wishlists, especially for users juggling work and personal lives.
One thing’s for sure: even if the Pixels themselves are pricey, the accessory game is about to get competitive. While Google might sell their Pixelsnap cases at premium prices, we all know how quickly third-party sellers jump in – especially the usual suspects on AliExpress.
As for those waiting on the Pixel 9 to drop in price? August 20 might just be your lucky day.
